Anna Kristina, singer/songwriter/musician/actress performed at her first festival at age 11. Starred in her first play at age16. Recorded her first album at age 17, and recorded her first original song at age 18. Although her first recordings were in the jazz genre, she sings a wide variety of styles from blues to soul to rock.
Anna Kristina is a California native spending most of her life in northern California. Currently living in San Francisco, she is constantly performing with either Zepparella or her other projects. She also spends her time playing piano, writing songs, singing full time and is often a guest artist with various Bay Area bands. Anna has formed many of her own bands throughout her career that allow her to express her wide variety of tastes and styles. She’s worked with Chico Freeman, Stu Hamm, Keely Smith, and Terry Disley. She’s recorded at the legendary Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. And she constantly works with world class musicians.
Along with her 2 allbums with Zepparella, she’s recorded 6 original albums with her different bands over the years. Her originalsongs reflect her influences leaning from jazz to funk to rock to neo soul.

In addition to performing with Zepparella, Anna performs with her two other current projects. The first,“DNA Sings,” is a duet with transcendental acoustic/electric guitarist Dave Weeks. “DNA Sings,” is a 2 person tour de force wall of sound. Their latest album “Driving It Home” combines folk/rock and neo soul as they do their favorite classic songs along with heartfelt original songs. “DNA Sings” is currently performing in the Bay Area and beyond.
Anna also performs under her name with her solo band. Her sextet brings her expressive neo-soul style out with fiery grooves and a rocking edge. Anna is currently in pre-production for her next solo album.
Anna has also performed in several award winning theater productions. She co-founded the original Bay Area hit musical “Goin Dot Com” where she received rave reviews from critics playing the lead role as Stacey. She was also critically acclaimed for her lead role as Deborah in “Sperm Warefare”- the winner of the 2005 Critics Award at the San Francisco Fringe Festival
Anna Kristina has performed at the following clubs and continues to perform nation wide: The Great American Music Hall. Yoshi's , The Kuumbwa Jazz Center. Cafe Du Nord, Elbo Room, Bottom of the Hill, Hotel Utah, Paradise Lounge, The Last Day Saloon, Slim's, Bimbo's, Rassela's, Enrico's, The House of Blues, The Mystic Theater, Mont Bleu, and numerous street fairs and festivals. She has also had some of her songs featured on KPOO and KJAZ. She has appeared on the Bruce Latimer Show and has been featured on NPR, WB20, San Francisco Sound and Bay T.V.
